  • Individuals, EG-TEK Group may collect data about you if another person has interacted with you in certain ways. For instance, if someone has sent you a product and invited you to join an EG-TEK Group service or shared content with you, EG-TEK Group may receive information related to those interactions.
  • At your direction, you also have the ability to instruct other individuals or third parties to share data with EG-TEK Group. For example, you can request your mobile carrier to provide EG-TEK Group with data about your carrier account for activation purposes.
  • EG-TEK Group may collaborate with partners who assist in various aspects, such as security and fraud prevention. In certain cases, EG-TEK Group e may validate the information you provide, such as when creating an ETAMMN ID, by cross-referencing it with third-party sources to ensure security and prevent fraudulent activities.
  • Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as information about your interactions with our Services. This includes information about the content you view, the time you spend viewing the content, and the features you access on the Services that we collect using cookies, pixels, and other technologies;
  • Identifiers, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers (including the manufacturer and model), and Media Access Control (MAC) address;
  • Geolocation data, such as where you are located when you use ETAMMN mobile application; and
  • Standard server log data, such as your application version number, computer type (Windows or Macintosh), screen resolution, operating system, browser type and version, and the date and time of your visit.

We may also aggregate or de-identify the information described above. Aggregated or de-identified data is not subject to this policy.

  • Security and Fraud Prevention, in order to protect the well-being of individuals, employees, and EG-TEK Group, as well as to prevent any potential losses or fraudulent activities, we employ measures aimed at protecting all our users. These measures may include the screening or scanning of uploaded content to identify and prevent the circulation of illegal material, such as child sexual exploitation material.   • Marketing communications and outreach, this includes sending you updates, notifications, and messages regarding promotions, new features, products, services, and content. We may also show you relevant advertisements both on our platforms and external sites. 
  • Compliance with legal obligations, we ensure strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and we actively cooperate with requests from regulators, government entities, and official authorities to address any concerns or inquiries.

EG-TEK Group do not use profiling techniques to make consequential decisions that could have a significant impact on you without the chance for human evaluation. Moreover, EG-TEK Group does not engage in the utilization or divulgence of sensitive personal data for any purposes that would necessitate a user’s exercise of the right to restrict processing as outlined in Qatar law.

How and when we share your information

We may share the information we collect with EG-TEK Group-affiliated companies, service providers acting on their behalf, partners, developers, publishers, or any other individuals or entities as instructed by you. We share your information with the maintenance Companies with whom we have a contractual agreement in order to provide services to you. For example, our partners will have access to your Fire Alarm System information.

Sharing client information with law enforcement agencies such as Civil Defense are important for Emergency Response, in emergency situations, such as fires or other life-threatening incidents, sharing client information with relevant authorities can facilitate prompt and effective emergency response. Law enforcement agencies and emergency responders need accurate and timely information to quickly assess the situation, identify individuals at risk, and take appropriate action.

We do use vulnerability scanning and scanning according to PCI standards.

A PCI vulnerability scan is a high-level, automated test that identifies and documents potential network vulnerabilities in an organization.

A PCI scan is an internal and external scan of a company’s network that accepts, processes, and stores credit card data. Quarterly PCI scans, carried out by an approved PCI vendor, are mandatory to qualify for the PCI DSS (payment card industry data security standards) requirements.
